First Lutheran is governed by a board of members elected by the congregation and the Senior Pastor. The Senior pastor serves as president of the council, other officers include the Vice President, the Treasurer and the Secretary. First Lutheran has nine council members. These serve a three year term and three new members are elected by the congregation each year. The council serves to make policies for the congregation, monitors finances, ensures the congregation adheres to its mission and serves as the chief governing body in between annual meetings.
