BASIC walks through the foundations of our faith. BASIC stands for Bible, Abide, Salvation, Imitation, and Church, offering a clear and approachable overview of what we believe.
What you'll learn
- To articulate a confident, grounded faith — knowing what you believe, why you believe it, and how to live it out in everyday life.
- To read and understand the Bible as a unified story, from Genesis to Revelation, with the tools to keep exploring it on your own.
- To practice a sustainable rhythm of spiritual life through prayer, worship, spiritual disciplines, and the sacraments.
- To explain what Christians believe about God, sin, Jesus, and the cross — and personally receive the gift of grace that’s at the center of it all.
- To learn from the example of Jesus’ life and ministry with practical application for what it takes to follow Jesus in your everyday life.
- To trace 2,000 years of church history and understand how the Lutheran tradition — and your local congregation — fits into God’s larger mission in the world.
